Joshua and Suzana's big day was filled with torrential storms, but the bridal party, guests and vendors took it with a grain of salt and got on with the celebration.

Meeting at Adelaide University Law School in 2019, Joshua and Suzana went on a camp to rural South Australia to study Native Title and pastoral leases when their friendship formed, quickly turning into romance. The couple were engaged in late 2021 and held their wedding exactly one year later. Contending with storm on Joshua and Suzana’s big day, the marquee almost blew away and family and friends pitched in to secure it, unknown to the oblivious bride and groom who were slowly making their way through the traffic to the location. “The night was full of dancing, drinking and love, and no amount of rain or wind could stop it,” Suzana says.
