Born in Adelaide, Tim’s was an idyllic childhood, as he and his four siblings spent summer holidays at Victor Harbour or on Kangaroo Island. Tim’s early interest in fashion as inspired by his mother, Carmel, who herself had a keen eye for style.

After studying at East Sydney Technical College, Tim went onto work for various small brands. He says, “Working for smaller brands, you learn so much about the process, from the initial fabric appointment up to the final fittings and ticketing the garments at the end for small production runs into store. I was learning so much, every step of the way.”

Tim began his eponymous label in 1995, and the rest is history. The designer will be returning to Adelaide for a series of exclusive trunk shows this month (November 2020) at Hygge Atrium.
