Brougham Place by Williams Burton Leopardi, PACT architects and Hindmarsh Construction. Photograph David Sievers

Williams Burton Leopardi and PACT architects came together, along with Hindmarsh Construction, to create a light, airy multi-storeyed development in North Adelaide. Specialising in high end bespoke architecture, Williams Burton Leopardi brought the Brougham Place home to life with its soft interiors featuring curves, light timbers and fine details.

Studio Gram Architects’ Rose Park House appears as a traditional 1900s Queen Anne villa from the front, but step inside and through to the extension and discover unique design. The house gradually reveals itself, unfolding in what the Studio Gram team describe as a “series of discoveries from commencement to completion”. Curves and concrete meld with dark limestone and timbers, contrasting with the natural light that floods into the new extension.

Architect Don Iannicelli, who runs Glasshouse Projects, has built a career designing and constructing homes across Adelaide, including the one he created for his own family in Adelaide’s southern foothills. The home’s massive three-metre-by-two-metre steel-framed front door is a construction feat in itself, so heavy it had to be installed and positioned before it could be custom clad with vertical blackbutt timber panelling. There’s no handle, the door simply pivots, gently inviting you in to discover what lays beyond.

Eos by SkyCity’s The Grace Villa.

The doors of Eos by SkyCity were opened in December 2020, and along with it, opulent presidential suite, The Grace Villa. It covers 305 square metres and within that expansive spaces is an entertaining area, two master suites with walk-in wardrobes and private bathrooms, an office, butler’s pantry and fitness retreat with gymnasium and sauna. If that’s not tempting enough, the resident mixologist visits The Grace Villa full of locally-sourced South Australian spirits to make regionally-specific cocktails.

Stefan and Leann Ahrens purchased the historic Kingsford Homestead in 2009 and undertook a renovation of the grand Georgian property, transforming it into a seven-suite, fully-hosted hotel. In July 2021, it was relaunched as Kingsford The Barossa following a multi-million dollar redevelopment. The property now boasts 13 individually-designed suites from which guests can explore the world-class wine region or stay closer to home and peruse Kingsford’s 25-metre tunnel of museum wines.

The experience at Sequoia Lodge is a special one – guests can luxuriate in the warm water of the stunning pools and gaze out at the undulations of the Piccadilly Valley below. Each of the rooms feature a skylight looking up to the stars by night and that incredible view to the valley by day. The restaurant hosts specialty events by night, including dinners with the winemakers whose wine is sipped with the meals. The team is only too happy to help organise luxury experiences for guests, with VIP days out available at all the nearby wine regions.
