A simple vision saw Craig Linke Bespoke Building team collaborate with Stoke Fireplace Studio Adelaide to transform their old, tired, unassuming office space into their beautiful new showroom, Home Base.
A home away from home
The renovated office space is a place for clients to experience the design capabilities of Craig and his team. Here, they can experience a tactile journey exploring products they can see, touch and envision in their own homes. The team’s vision was to inspire visitors by thoughtfully showcasing their own work alongside a curated collection of products from their most-trusted local suppliers.
Among these suppliers is Stoke Fireplace Studio Adelaide who worked with Craig and his team to find the perfect fireplace to create the warm welcoming space they desired.
Stoke Adelaide owner Adam Roe says, “They approached us to help not only bring their own space to life, but to help their clients’ envision the possibilities for their own projects.”
Craig credits Adam’s invaluable insights in selecting the Escea TFS650 Wood Fireplace. Adam’s collaboration with the interior design team ensured the fireplace perfectly complemented both the studio’s aesthetic and functional needs.
Designed to be a focal point, the wood fireplace effortlessly blends into the Home Base aesthetics. Its minimalist design is a modern take on a classic fire with uninterrupted flames that invites visitors to linger.
Craig says, “The fireplace takes prime position on our custom white concrete benchtop, which ensures it’s the statement piece within this zone. The backdrop is a neutral limestone paver that enhances and complements the warmth of the fireplace, both when it’s lit and when it isn’t. Our interior design team loved the simple folded steel surround detailing of the firebox too.”
While there is no getting away from the romance a wood fireplace brings, Craig explains “Another key deciding factor was the technology of the Direct Vent flue, which makes the fireplace exceptionally efficient all year round.”
Unlike most wood fires that use room air to fuel the fire, Escea wood fireplaces use Direct Vent Technology. This innovation means the fireplace heats the room more efficiently and eliminates pesky cold draughts for better overall home performance.
Navigating obstacles is part of the journey with renovation projects. For Home Base, Craig and his team occupy the building’s second floor, so when it came to installing the wood fireplace on the second storey of the building, he explains “this required a lot of time and care, but Adam and the team handled it effortlessly.”
The warmth of local collaboration lies at the heart of this project, where two local companies unite, driven by a shared passion for exceptional design, functionality and customer-centricity. Together, they’ve created a space where local clientele can immerse themselves in Adelaide’s finest offering of home and design.
Escea wood fireplaces are designed and crafted in New Zealand, and available at Stoke Fireplace Studio Adelaide.
Owners Adam and Zoe Roe are fireplace experts and welcome people from all over Adelaide to come into their gallery-style showroom to experience fireplace shopping a little differently.
