Little Heroes & Breakthrough team up for Gala ball to raise awareness for children’s mental health
“How many of you are aware of Childhood Dementia?” is a question that Chris McDermott, CEO of Little Heroes Foundation, has asked many times, realising that most people have not heard about this devastating disease.
In Australia, over 2,000 children are living with childhood dementia, which causes a child to progressively lose skills such as the ability to write, read, talk, walk and play. Sadly, childhood dementia is often overlooked, both as a health and social issue.
To shine a light on this under-recognised illness and other mental health issues that affect today’s children, the charity has partnered with Breakthrough Mental Research Foundation to bring you the Little Breakthrough Heroes Gala.
The event promises to be a truly unforgettable night of music, magic and good times, while raising much-needed funds and awareness for mental health research and childhood dementia.
The night’s entertainment features a stellar line-up of amazing performers, headlined by multi-platinum selling, ARIA nominated singer-songwriter and one of Australia’s most loved performers, Ricki-Lee performing her chart-topping, show-stopping hits.
Magic Mike (Not A Stripper) is going to wow the crowd with his magical skills, while the fabulous team from Entertainment Adelaide will pump up the music later in the evening with DJ sets and a saxophone player ensuring everyone will be hitting the dance floor!
