Loreto College: The start to the journey your daughter deserves

It’s said that every journey starts with a single step. At Loreto College, that step leads to the development of strong, passionate and confident girls and young women.

Loreto is an all-girls’ day and boarding school in Adelaide’s inner eastern suburbs, catering for students ranging in age from Early Learning to Year 12.

The school’s belief in the importance of education honours Loreto’s 400-year-old global tradition of encouraging girls and young women to develop strong values so they make a positive difference to their world.

Loreto Principal Dr Nicole Archard is passionate about the development of girls in becoming women of strength, spirit and integrity and believes a girls’ school environment is the best place for girls to be educated.

“Research shows that girls learn to challenge gender stereotypes, develop a confident and articulate voice, develop leadership capacity in all forums and become comfortable within themselves when educated in an all girls’ community – and our history of academic and sporting success is testament to this,” Dr Archard said.

Loreto’s success is being acknowledged nationally too. We recently received two awards at the 2021 Australian Education Awards: we were the only South Australian school to win Best Student Wellbeing Program and our Humanities Leader Mr Paul Foley was recognised for his contribution, winning Department Head of the Year.

Loreto’s success at this year’s awards places us in the ‘top eight’ Australian schools across the government, private and Catholic sectors and the national winners will be announced on Friday 27 August.

Book now for August and September tours and see how Loreto can give your daughter the start to the journey she deserves.
