Westminster School completes $40 million Campus Masterplan

After five years of development and an investment of more than $40 million, Westminster School will complete its transformative Campus Masterplan and mark the milestone with the official opening of the final stage later this month.

The project has seen a build of several world-class educational facilities across the stunning school campus, offering resources to benefit all students from Early Learning to Year 12 and affirming Westminster as a leader in education.

The final stage encompasses:

  • The Forder Centre, a three-storey facility housing the contemporary Martin Library, music and drama faculties, the School’s dining hall and Dragon community café with its outlook to the sports grounds.
  • A superb new entrance and extended foyer to Westminster’s renowned Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts.
  • A new Year 12 Centre for senior students to collaborate and socialise.
  • The vibrant Westminster Green, a landscaped open space, featuring an amphitheatre, a commissioned Indigenous community artwork, traffic and parking upgrades, designed to connect the Campus Masterplan facilities together.

Over the past two years, the current Campus Masterplan has also delivered:

  • The Inquiry and Innovation Hub, a tri-level specialist STEM centre with state-of-the-art science, technology, engineering, fashion and food learning spaces.
  • The Thomas Sports Pavilion with spectacular views over the School’s extensive playing fields.
  • The Carter Wing, home to creative arts, digital media and the School’s Stretch Centre.
  • A second dedicated Dance studio to enhance the School’s leading Dance program.

Westminster School is set to officially mark the opening of the latest round of facilities, which complete the current Campus Masterplan, with a day of celebration for students, staff, families, old scholars, and community members.

Taking place on Saturday October 29, this great celebration will feature live entertainment, cultural workshops, interactive activities, food trucks and tours of new facilities.
