This weekend, the Adelaide 500 returns to Adelaide’s streets while the state gets ready for Christmas with Santa’s Wonderland, carols and fireworks in Mount Barker, and AnglicareSA’s Christmas Appeal.

Cocktails on the coastline

The Moseley Beach Club will return to the sands of Glenelg Beach from Saturday, December 3 with the venue taking inspiration from Italy’s sun-drenched Amalfi coast. Expect Italian flourishes across the food and drinks menu, as well as styling and design. Enjoy a relaxed and fun coastal venue for the whole family with free entry, fresh food, delicious cocktails, casual dining, a kids’ zone, day beds and luxe loungers. Live music will be performed daily with DJs spinning beats every weekend.

Moonlit markets

The Ebenezer Night Markets will return to Ebenezer Place in Adelaide’s East End from Saturday, December 3, with an abundance of food, fashion, jewellery, artwork and homeware stalls ready to browse and buy. With outdoor lighting, casual dining spots and live tunes, the evenings will provide an opportunity for some of Adelaide’s best artisans and foodies to create an outdoor shopping experience to remember. Get in some Christmas shopping or enjoy an evening out with your loved ones and embrace the city’s summer nights.

Fast cars

The VALO Adelaide 500 will once again race through Adelaide streets from December 1 to 4 with four days of fast cars and live music. Six action-packed race categories will speed through the streets of Adelaide while spectators enjoy food and drink packages in corporate suites or around the track. Musical headliners include Lime Cordiale, Jimmy Barnes and The Killers among a selection of Australian performers. Other attractions across the event include stunt cars and BMX, car displays and family fun zones.

Christmas magic

Celebrate the magic of Christmas at Santa’s Wonderland from December 2 to 24. Families can post their letters to Santa Claus and enjoy a Christmas story read by Mrs Christmas in the Traditional Family Christmas Land before heading to the Ice Wonderland for fun and thrills on the ice-skating rink, toboggan slide and amusement rides. Everybody’s favourite Christmas characters will spend the day singing carols and interacting with guests as they roam the Adelaide Showground spreading Christmas cheer. Gather up the family and celebrate the festive season in a spectacular world of Christmas wonder.

AnglicareSA’s 2022/23 Christmas Appeal has launched this festive season with the hope of raising $100,000 to support South Australian families in need. The Christmas Appeal is a major fundraiser supporting AnglicareSA’s Emergency Assistance program service which provides short-term food relief, clothing and other household necessities to people in financial crisis. Donate today to help fellow South Australians in need and spread some extra cheer this festive season.

Come and carol

Embrace the festive season and enjoy carols and fireworks at Keith Stephenson Park in Mount Barker on Saturday, December 3. The evening will begin with family fun activities including face painting and rock wall climbing from 5pm, before carolling and live entertainment start from 7pm. The evening will finish with a bang as the fireworks show begins at 9:15pm.
