As many of us will be up at the crack of dawn on Sunday, there’s no excuse for not making the most of the long weekend.
What’s on: Anzac Day long weekend
SUPPORTING VETERANS
Head on down to Robe for the Anzac Day weekend to show your support for the veteran respite program Robe to Recovery. Robe to Recovery is an initiative of the town of Robe, providing respite for returned Australian Defence Force veterans and their families. The Anzac Day 2021 celebrations will be a community collaboration with the Robe Golf Club, Robe Football Club, Robe Netball Club and the Robe RSL. The event aims to raise awareness of the program and thank supporters and sponsors.
FOOD TRUCKS GALORE
Pack a picnic rug and head to Salisbury this long weekend because Food Truck Carnivale is holding a three-day festival at Carisbrooke Park. With free entry, guests can enjoy dozens of food trucks, live entertainment, a fully licensed bar and amusement park rides and show bags for the kids. There will also be a silent disco and competitions throughout the weekend.

HOME-GROWN INSPIRATION
Adelaide’s first Edible Garden Trail event will be staged online on Saturday, April 24. Experience virtual video tours from six inspiring urban Adelaide gardens that aim to inspire and educate. Growing organic food in your own backyard can have a really positive impact on our environment, health and local food sovereignty. The videos are accessible to all and participants can choose whether to make a donation which will be reinvested into local community food growing projects.
