What’s On: Christmas Pageant, Italian Festival and blossoms galore
Christmas cheer
The 2021 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is set to take the stage on Saturday, November 13, at Adelaide Oval. There will be characters, dancers, bands and floats bringing the festive spirit to spectators and television viewers. Local fashion designer Jaimie Sortino will be dressing members of the Christmas Pageant Royal Family with his award-winning, magical styles.
Garden mastery
The Station Master’s House will be open for public visits on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14. The Station Master’s House is one of Clare’s notable historic homes. A pretty house built on a hill and surrounded on three sides with verandas, it was the childhood home of well-known author Monica McInerney, whose father was Clare’s last station master. Its beautiful garden was given a pink theme in the early 2000s with an abundance of standard and climbing roses, a weeping cherry tree and mulberry trees, crepe myrtles and moptops.
Everybody talks
Breakthrough will be hosting a night of drinks, food and entertainment on Saturday, November 13 in support of the Big Talks for Little People campaign. Big Talks for Little People provides children with the tools they need to ensure their wellbeing and resilience at school and throughout life. Hosted by Jess Adamson and Mark “Soda” Soderstrom, the event will help support the development and roll-out of the program, sustaining the mental health of South Australia’s youth.
Ciao Italia
Celebrate and enjoy the finest of Italian culture, heritage, tradition and innovation throughout Adelaide from Friday, November 12 to Sunday, November 21 with the Adelaide Italian Festival. Step out of Adelaide and into Italy with traditional dinners and wine tastings, afternoons of bocce in the sunshine, picturesque bike rides through the wine regions and cooking masterclasses for those who want to take a bite of Italy home for dinner.
In bloom

The festival welcomes families for a weekend of fun with market stalls, camel rides, live music and fireworks.
