Adventurous spirit
The Gusty Girls Adventure Film Tour presents a carefully curated selection of short films that will entertain, inspire and enlighten. Featuring eight unique films, covering topics relevant to women in the outdoors, these amazing stories of courage, grit, determination, and outdoor inspiration are focused on bringing the female adventure experience under the spotlight. This year’s tour is full of adventure and you can catch it at the Capri Theatre Saturday, September 18.
A night at the museum
Night Lab will return to the South Australian Museum on Friday, September 17. The award-winning late-night program is an adults-only event for ages 18+. The next iteration of Night Lab – Metamorphosis – will make you confront your fears and phobias, challenge you to try something new and learn about the secret and not-so-secret lives of insects. Join the museum for a night of transformation; think caterpillar into butterfly, grapes into wine and bugs into food for an evening of creepy, crawly, spiky, slimy, bug-tastic fun.
What’s on trend
Woolcock Reynella is extending an invitation to view their spring/summer 2021 collection fresh with colours, patterns, and designs each day until Monday, September 20 (excluding Sunday). Nature in focus
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world with the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition currently on display at the South Australian Museum. The competition celebrates the natural heritage of the Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea bioregions each year. Captured by professional, emerging and junior photographers, these images demonstrate the impeccable patience, artistry and technique required to capture incredible moments in time.
