What’s On: French Market, Semaphore Street Fair
Tastes of France
Fill your basket with gourmet goodies at this year’s French Market, on November 22 to 23. Held at the Soldiers’ Memorial Gardens at Unley, the market will feature French music, circus performers, demonstrations and face painting. Foodies can enjoy patisserie, cheeses and charcuterie.
Make your way to the shore for the Semaphore Street Fair, on Sunday, November 24. The free, family-friendly event is a celebration of the area, with amusement rides, a vintage steam engine display and the Medieval Fighting Tournament. The Semaphore Pets and Garden parade will be on again, and stallholders will sell arts, craft and vintage fashion, beer, cider and wine tastings on offer.
Lace up your sneakers and celebrate history at the Naracoorte World Heritage Festival and Run on Sunday, November 24. The event begins with a run through the bushland and pine forest trails and continues with the festival. There will be stories told in the caves, singing palaeontologist Professor Flint and demonstrations at the Fossil Lab. Local food and wine will be on offer, as well
as live performances.
