A helping Hans for Bedford’s gala fundraiser

South Australia’s own dazzling entertainer, Hans, will host Bedford’s inaugural gala evening on May 6.

Adelaide entertainer Hans will host the Future is Bright black-tie gala for Bedford.

Bedford, South Australia’s largest employer of people with disability will throw its first ever gala fundraiser on Saturday, May 6.

Hosted by the dazzling entertainer Hans, the ‘Future is Bright’ gala evening promises to be a night of fun, laughter and social good.

The black-tie event will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre and feature a spectacular light show, great food and wine, and light themed installations to tie in with Bedford’s ‘beaming’ theme.

Hans has been thrilling audiences around the globe with his award-winning comedy cabaret for more than a decade.

The self-described ‘Berlin boy wonder’, says his personal brand of pizzazz will bring that special sparkle to the evening.

“I’ve always been a big fan of Bedford and the work they do, so to be hosting the Gala is something I’m really looking forward to!” Hans said.

“Plus, they’re letting me loose on the DJ decks later on in the night… So, I hope you all like Spice Girls, honey! We’re gonna dance the night away together!”

The evening will include live performances by the talented South Australian band Bermuda Bay and a live auction and raffle, with many incredible prizes up for grabs.

Bedford CEO Myron Mann said the gala promises to make a positive impact to the disability sector in South Australia.

“This is a first for Bedford. Our biggest fundraising event ever and a great opportunity to support people living with disability in SA,” Mann said.

All proceeds from the Gala will go towards Bedford’s five-year masterplan to create more jobs, opportunities and build a beaming future for people with a disability in South Australia.

Bedford provides skills training and work opportunities for people with disability

This will include building new fit-for-purpose work sites, providing new advisory and job coaching services, and new pathways into Open Employment.

Also planned is the creation of new social enterprises, which will provide training and employment opportunities for people with disability in sectors from food and beverage, to landscaping and advanced manufacturing.

Tickets for the event can be purchased as a table of 10 or as a single ticket. As well, there is an option to purchase a Pay It Forward Table, giving five supported employees from Bedford a double pass to the event and enabling each one to take a friend or loved one with them to celebrate the evening.

Tickets can be purchased via the Bedford website.
